Replace Dentures With Dental Implants

Differences Between Dentures & Dental Implants?

Replace Dentures with Dental Implants. If you have been wearing dentures and do not enjoy them. visit us to discuss Dental Implants.
We treat a lot of patients that have been wearing full Dentures or Partial Dentures. and have found them to be clunky, loose, or inconvenient.
If you are currently wearing dentures. and feel like you have had to change your schedule or lifestyle to accommodate them. this can be incredibly frustrating.
We have spoken with people that have become afraid to dine in public. or those who can no longer eat their favorite meal because their dentures are too loose.
Still, some patients find that they function well but do not like the inconvenience or embarrassment that comes from needing to remove them at night.
The good news is that If you are in this situation, there is an alternative procedure.

Why Dental Implants?

As a Cosmetic Dentist, we are regularly asked why we like dental implants so much? and what makes us confident in their durability.
It all comes down to how the procedure is completed and what the body does afterwards.
This is the only tooth replacement procedure that is completed surgically.  A small titanium post is inserted under the gums and secured to the jawbone.
Titanium is interesting because it is incredibly strong (strong enough to be used by NASA). but the body reacts to it like it would natural matter.
This means that once the implant and bone come in contact. the process of osseointegration will take place, leading them to eventually fuse together.
While this takes some time, it happens seamlessly and without you noticing.

Benefits Of Dental Implants?

There are distinct benefits to this.  Because of osseointegration, the jawbone will provide the same level of stability and biting force to your implant as it does to your natural teeth.  This means that you can bite directly into a crunchy apple or eat a bag of trail mix without worrying about your teeth.  Simultaneously, the implant provides the jawbone with the stimulation it needs to stay healthy and avoid resorption.  This is a mutually beneficial relationship for your lifestyle, your appearance, and your oral health.

How It Works?

When you visit our cosmetic dentist office for dental implants. we will start by conducting a physical examination and taking x-rays.
This way we can determine whether or not. you have any oral health problems that need to be addressed first.
We will evaluate your x-rays to determine. if you have enough bone density to support having an implant placed.
This can be challenging for some people. because if you have been wearing dentures for a long time. your jawbone is likely to have suffered resorption.
If this is the case we may recommend that you consider either a bone grafting procedure or smaller implants.

Our goal is to provide you with a durable solution. And that will enhance your quality of life, and we are confident that dental implants can do so.
